Technological updates galore!
It's taken longer than I hoped to get this all set up right, and I'm sure I might be tweaking things for a little while until they're just the way I like them, but as of today S. R. Ford (me) is now officially available for you to follow and talk with on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Simply visit the links on the right hand column of my blog pages to get linked in and follow along!
To make it easier to find me, I going to make sure that all of my official accounts share the same profile picture. They will change periodically, but they will always be identifiable as me. And whatever you do, don't expect stereotypical portrait shots. I believe that if a picture is worth 1000 words, you might as well tell a whole story with it. I'm going to use these periodic pictures to help you become more familiar with who I am and why I write what and when I do.
This picture to the left is the one I've chosen for now. It was taken in a place very common to the Kingdom Chronicles: a cave! This specific shot was taken at the Lava Beds National Monument in northern California. If you notice, elements from these caves were incorporated into the cover of The Elements and the Exodus. But the reason I choose to start with this picture is because the story of Zarrys and his comrades begins in a cave and I felt it only appropriate to pay homage to that beginning here.
And guess what? That's not all.
You can also get connected straight into the specific editions of my books on Amazon.com from here. Simply click the picture of the edition you want, and off you go.
I've also fixed an issue that was only brought to my attention this last week. You can comment on my blog posts here without
having to log into Google, Blogger, or anything else first. Just click comment and you should be good to go. I apologize, I
didn't realize that function wasn't initialized already. But now it is!
So I hope that more of you will be able to comment on posts in the future.
Till next time!

"And so it is... Thank you."
Well, everyone! It is over... The celebration has come to an end.
But I was glad to see more than 500 copies go out to readers all over the globe.
To all those who got themselves a copy of The Kingdom and the Crown and/or The Elements and the Exodus, I hope you will enjoy the books again and again. I also hope that you will tell your friends to pick them up as well.
To all those who helped spread the word, thank you. These special gifts of mine can only go so far without your help.
I am excited to read the reviews and comments that will come in the future. Please, don't forget to "like" the Kingdom Chronicles on Facebook. If you have questions, comments, hopes, anything of that nature, don't hesitate to post them there. I pay very close attention to that page, and might just surprise you now and again.
Of course, don't forget to follow along here as well, for this blog will be a major source of upcoming sneak peaks, giveaways, a possible competition or two, and all of that wonderful goodness.
Some of you might be wondering:
Well, if you take a glance at a few older posts, you'll see that I've already dropped a few hints.
My attention is now turning to my next major adventures: The Kingdom Chronicles: Book 3 and Oblivion's Gate: Book 1.
I could tell you more about them, but I'd rather ask: What do you want to know? Ask away in the comments below, or feel free to post your questions on the Kingdom Chronicles' Facebook page.

Oblivion's Gate
Good morning!
Well, the Elements and the Exodus has been out to the world for about three weeks now, and the Kingdom and the Crown is coming up on its one year anniversary. I'm quite happy that Amazon.com has chosen my books to ride the Amazon Bookshelf Favorites for March, and I'm excited to see what will happen in the near future. (By the way, both books are still 36% off; it's an excellent time to get a copy.)
Book Three is already in the works and I'm loving the way the story is continuing to unfold.
But today, I wanted to tell you about a new adventure of mine. In addition to the Kingdom Chronicles, I've started work on a new series called Oblivion's Gate. It is the story of two young men named Dan Barker and Aaron Flanagan who begin their story as salesman in Loudoun county, Virginia, USA. But that is only the beginning, and soon they find themselves swept off to secret places all over the planet in pursuit of a unexpected apprenticeship. The world isn't nearly as simple as they had thought it was. And how could it be once you've learned of other dimensions and the truth behind the world's oldest myths? How could it be once you've met a real Asgardian and found out what really lies at the other end of the rainbow? How could it be once you've learned the roots of magic and seen the deepest depths of Nothing, all under the wing of world's greatest and oldest magician, Merlin the Wise? There is a story to be told about such events, and I am proud to announce that soon it shall be.
